New music: ‘Looseleaf Forest’

Here’s a short piece of cheerful music that I wrote for harp, lute, cello, and percussion. I’ve named it “Looseleaf Forest” and plan to use it as intro music for eventual Looseleaf Forest podcast episodes.

I originally began composing this piece in 2020 as the opening theme of a fantasy roleplaying livestream show that I was pitching. The idea was that I would memorize the stats for monsters in the Dungeons and Dragons System Reference Document using memory techniques, then field questions like “How many hit points does a centaur have?” under pressure as a kind of party trick. Then the production studio that I was pitching my idea to fell apart. Unlucky!
